Our Pet Grooming Services

We offer full-service grooming for dogs and cats, with services tailored to your pet’s breed, coat type, and individual needs. Our grooming menu includes:

Bathing and drying
We use high-quality shampoos suited to your pet’s skin and coat type. Pets with sensitive skin, allergies, or specific coat needs can be accommodated—just let us know when you book. Grooming visits are also a good opportunity to catch early signs of skin issues, which our team can follow up on if needed. Learn more about how we approach skin and coat health on our Pet Wellness Exams page.

Haircuts and trims
We offer customized trims and breed-specific cuts to keep your pet’s coat neat, manageable, and comfortable. Long-haired breeds prone to matting benefit from regular professional trims to prevent coat problems from developing.

Nail trimming
Overgrown nails can cause discomfort, affect gait, and lead to joint strain over time. We trim nails carefully and can include nail grinding for a smoother finish if preferred. If your pet is overdue for a trim or tends to be anxious about nail care, let us know—we’ll take it at their pace.

Ear cleaning
Routine ear cleaning removes debris and reduces the risk of infection, particularly in dogs with floppy ears or heavy ear hair. If we notice signs of an active infection during grooming, we can flag it for same-day evaluation by our clinical team.

Ear infections left untreated can become significant—our Pet Urgent Care team is available if a same-day visit is needed.

Anal gland expression
External anal gland expression is a routine grooming service that helps prevent impaction and discomfort. If your dog is scooting, licking at their hindquarters, or producing a strong odor, anal gland fullness may be the cause.

Maintenance brush-outs
For breeds prone to matting, we offer 10–15 minute brush-out sessions between full grooms to keep coats tangle-free and reduce the buildup that leads to more involved coat work at full groom appointments.

Grooming in a Veterinary Setting

One advantage of grooming at a veterinary clinic is that our team can identify health concerns that a standalone grooming salon isn’t equipped to address. During your pet’s appointment, our groomers may notice lumps, skin changes, ear inflammation, or coat abnormalities that warrant a clinical look. Because our veterinary team is on-site, we can often address minor concerns the same day rather than asking you to schedule a separate visit.

Grooming visits are also a natural time to check in on parasite prevention—fleas and ticks are sometimes spotted during bathing and coat work before they become a household problem.

Grooming Requirements

To keep all pets in our care safe and comfortable, we require the following before a grooming appointment:

Current vaccinations: All pets must be up to date on core vaccinations before their grooming visit. If your pet is due for vaccines, we can often coordinate a wellness visit or vaccination appointment alongside their grooming appointment—just mention it when you call.

Advance scheduling: Grooming appointments fill up, so we recommend booking ahead. Call us at (901) 235-7127 to check availability.

Health information: Let us know about any skin conditions, allergies, anxiety, or other health concerns your pet has before their appointment so we can prepare appropriately.

Pet Grooming FAQs

Do you groom cats?
Yes. We offer grooming services for cats as well as dogs. Cat grooming requires a different approach than dog grooming, and our team is experienced in handling cats with patience and care. If your cat is particularly anxious about grooming, let us know when you book—we can discuss options to make the visit as low-stress as possible.
How often should my dog be professionally groomed?
It depends on your dog’s coat type and length. Short-coated breeds can often go several months between professional grooms, while long-coated or double-coated breeds typically benefit from appointments every four to eight weeks. Our groomers can recommend a schedule based on your pet’s specific coat.
My pet is anxious at the groomer—can you still help?
Yes. We handle anxious pets regularly and take a patient, go-at-their-own-pace approach. For pets with significant grooming anxiety, it may also be worth discussing whether mild sedation support is appropriate—our veterinary team can weigh in on that if needed.
What if the groomer notices something concerning during my pet's appointment?
Because we’re a veterinary clinic, our grooming staff can flag health concerns directly to our clinical team. If something warrants attention during your pet’s grooming visit, we’ll let you know and can often schedule a quick evaluation the same day.
Do my pet's vaccines need to be current for grooming?
Yes. All pets must be up to date on core vaccinations before their grooming appointment. If you’re unsure of your pet’s vaccination status or need to get them current before their visit, call us, and we’ll help you sort it out.
