Our Mission
Main Street Animal Clinic proudly cares for dogs, cats, and rabbits in Oakland, TN, offering everything from routine wellness visits to surgery and chiropractic care under one roof. We’ve been part of this community since 2017, and the pets and families we serve are why we do this work.
Who We Are
Our clinic is led by Dr. Barry Miller, who has practiced veterinary medicine in the Memphis area for more than two decades and founded Main Street Animal Clinic after years of serving the community through Community Pet Hospital in Bartlett, TN. Our team of veterinarians brings a wide range of experience and interests—from soft tissue surgery and internal medicine to chiropractic care and acupuncture—so your pet can receive a broad scope of care without always needing a referral elsewhere. We’re a team of people who genuinely care about animals. Many of us have pets of our own, and we understand what it means to trust someone with a member of your family. We try to bring that understanding to every visit.
What Makes Us Different
A cat-friendly environment
We maintain a separate cat-only waiting area so feline patients aren’t sharing space with dogs before their appointment. Chiropractic care on-site
Dr. Robert Parker is a certified animal chiropractor through the American Veterinary Chiropractic Association, with special interests in orthopedics and functional neurology. Offering chiropractic care in-house gives pet owners in the Oakland area access to a complementary treatment option that isn’t widely available at general practices.
In-house diagnostics
We run blood work, urinalysis, fecal testing, and other diagnostics on-site, which means faster results and faster treatment decisions—often within the same visit rather than days later.
An affiliated veterinary pharmacy
Dr. Miller also operates an in-house pharmacy in Oakland, TN, offering over 2,000 veterinary pharmacy products for local pickup or home delivery. For clients of Main Street Animal Clinic, this means convenient access to medications and preventives without waiting on a separate pharmacy.
Same-day urgent care
When something comes up that can’t wait, we do our best to provide expert pet urgent care the same day during business hours. Our team is equipped to handle a wide range of urgent concerns in-house, so you’re not always sending your pet elsewhere in a stressful moment.
Our Community
We’re located in Oakland, TN, and serve pet owners from across Fayette, Shelby, Hardeman and Tipton counties and some areas of Mississippi. Many of our clients have been coming to us for years, and we value those long-term relationships.
