Our Veterinarians
Dr. Benjamin Kinney
DVM/Medical Director
Dr. Benjamin Kinney earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Tennessee. He has completed additional training in abdominal ultrasound, emergency and urgent care, and internal medicine, with a focus on metabolic and endocrine diseases and diagnostic testing.
Dr. Kinney’s path to veterinary medicine began in college after caring for his injured family dog, an experience that inspired his commitment to helping pet parents feel supported and confident when caring for their pets. He finds great fulfillment in working closely with clients to create thoughtful treatment plans and believes strong communication is at the heart of exceptional care.
Outside of work, Dr. Kinney enjoys hiking, fishing, hunting, spending time with his wife, and cheering on the Volunteers. At home, he enjoys the company of his three dogs and three cats.
Dr. Robert Parker
Associate Veterinarian
Graduated from Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine in May 1982.
Dr. Parker founded Shelby Center Hospital for Animals, Inc. in December 1986 and served as Owner/Chief of Staff until July 2018. He is currently serving as an associate veterinarian at Main Street Animal Clinic.
In addition to being a general veterinary practitioner, Dr. Parker studied veterinary homeopathy for 2 years before starting Animal Chiropractic School at Parker Chiropractic College in Dallas, TX, in February 2005. He was certified by the American Veterinary Chiropractic Association as an Animal Chiropractor in November 2005 and has been offering Chiropractic services. Special interests in Orthopedics, Functional Neurology, and chiropractic care.
Dr. Parker has also served several years as the TVMA President, concluding his service as President this year, 2024.
Dr. Barry Miller
DVM
Dr. Miller was born and raised in the Birmingham, Alabama area. As a teenager, Dr. Miller worked for Britt Veterinary Clinic and worked summers for his Veterinarian Uncle here in the Memphis Area (Kelley Animal Hospital, Bartlett, TN). Dr. Miller has always had a love of animals both large and small. Dr. Miller attended Mississippi State University and then earned his DVM at The Atlantic Veterinary College. While at the Atlantic Veterinary College Dr. Miller worked in the pathology lab which has given many years of experience. His specific areas of interest include small animal internal medicine, soft tissue surgery, ACL/TPLO surgery, and preventative care. After vet school, Dr. Miller moved back to the south and worked with his Uncle. David Kelley DVM. Dr. Barry Miller has been serving the Memphis Area for over 20 years while he owned Community Pet Hospital in Bartlett TN and VetApprovedRx Pharmacy in Oakland, TN. He and his wife of 27 years are the proud parents of 3 boys. He also is the pet parent of Bear, his 4-year-old rescue dog, and 1-year-old Bentley, a poodle mix. Bear and Bentley are often featured in his video blogs and both enjoy the camera and attention. With the combined businesses of Main Street Animal Clinic and VetApprovedRx Pharmacy, Dr. Miller provides a full-service veterinary clinic and a complete veterinary pharmacy offering over 2,000 products for local pick-up or home delivery.
Dr. Buco
DVM
Dr. Buco graduated from the Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2013. He has been practicing in a variety of small animal practices since then. He loves being a veterinarian because every day is different. His special interests in veterinary care are internal medicine and soft tissue surgery. He truly enjoys providing compassionate, quality medical care for pets and their families.
In addition to veterinary medicine, Dr. Buco enjoys spending time with his wife (also a veterinarian) and their two kids. His hobbies include cycling, hiking, traveling and golf.
Dr. Krystal Sadlemire
DVM
Dr. Krystal Sadlemire earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Lincoln Memorial University and has over a decade of experience in veterinary medicine. She spent more than 10 years working as a veterinary assistant in a small animal practice, four years in equine medicine, and completed a clinical externship in general practice. She plans to pursue certification in veterinary acupuncture and additional training in soft tissue surgery. Growing up, she spent a lot of time at a veterinary clinic managed by her mother and knew from an early age she wanted to become a veterinarian. Outside the clinic, she enjoys traveling, hiking, kayaking, baking, and spending time with her two pugs, Charlotte and London.

Christine joined our team in June 2026 after relocating from Washington State. She brings nearly 20 years of dedicated veterinary medicine experience to our practice. Most recently, she served as a front-end manager at a busy specialty hospital in Clackamas, Oregon, where she mastered the art of keeping a bustling clinic running smoothly.
Christine is incredibly excited to bring her leadership and deep love for animals to our hospital.
