Associate Veterinarian

Graduated from Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine in May 1982.

Dr. Parker founded Shelby Center Hospital for Animals, Inc. in December 1986 and served as Owner/Chief of Staff until July 2018. He is currently serving as an associate veterinarian at Main Street Animal Clinic.

In addition to being a general veterinary practitioner, Dr. Parker studied veterinary homeopathy for 2 years before starting Animal Chiropractic School at Parker Chiropractic College in Dallas, TX, in February 2005. He was certified by the American Veterinary Chiropractic Association as an Animal Chiropractor in November 2005 and has been offering Chiropractic services. Special interests in Orthopedics, Functional Neurology, and chiropractic care.

Dr. Parker has also served several years as the TVMA President, concluding his service as President this year, 2024.

DVM

Dr. Miller was born and raised in the Birmingham, Alabama area. As a teenager, Dr. Miller worked for Britt Veterinary Clinic and worked summers for his Veterinarian Uncle here in the Memphis Area (Kelley Animal Hospital, Bartlett, TN). Dr. Miller has always had a love of animals both large and small. Dr. Miller attended Mississippi State University and then earned his DVM at The Atlantic Veterinary College. While at the Atlantic Veterinary College Dr. Miller worked in the pathology lab which has given many years of experience. His specific areas of interest include small animal internal medicine, soft tissue surgery, ACL/TPLO surgery, and preventative care. After vet school, Dr. Miller moved back to the south and worked with his Uncle. David Kelley DVM. Dr. Barry Miller has been serving the Memphis Area for over 20 years while he owned Community Pet Hospital in Bartlett TN and VetApprovedRx Pharmacy in Oakland, TN. He and his wife of 27 years are the proud parents of 3 boys. He also is the pet parent of Bear, his 4-year-old rescue dog, and 1-year-old Bentley, a poodle mix. Bear and Bentley are often featured in his video blogs and both enjoy the camera and attention. With the combined businesses of Main Street Animal Clinic and VetApprovedRx Pharmacy, Dr. Miller provides a full-service veterinary clinic and a complete veterinary pharmacy offering over 2,000 products for local pick-up or home delivery.
